Karya Mega Kencana CO ., Ltd was established in 1983. It started as one of panel (Melamine Faced Chipboard, Medium Density Fiberboard , Blackboards etc.) based furniture manufacturers in Jakarta , Indonesia. And it is now as one of a unique manufacturer which is not only well developed in wooden field, it is also well developed in metal field which leads it to have an edge over other companies in pricing and delivery lead time when bidding tender projects and realizing projects involving wood & metal. Because , a manufacturer which is conversant in both fields is very rare to be had in South East Asia.

It began by producing computer desk for domestic market, mainly for Jakarta and Java Island. And from 1985, products have been shipped to Sumatra and Kalimantan Island. And in 1987, computer desk with OLIVER brand started gaining good reputation due to its quality and durability. And since then , they have been shipped in bulk quantity to all over Indonesia. The first export to Hong Kong was started in 1988

From 1989, products manufactured have been expanded to include full range office furniture (Office desks, conference desks, hanging pedestals, mobile pedestals, storage cabinets, filling cabinets, counter etc.) And in 1991 , we successfully developed 55mm thick Series 550K MONOLITHIC PARTITION SYSTEM .followed by 30mm thick SERIES 300 MONOLITHIC PARTITION SYSTEM. Then, to be followed with successful development of 55mm thick SERIES 550T TILE PARTITION SYSTEM in 1993. And in 1993, 55mm thick monolithic partition system had been exported to Sweden routinely. And in 1994, we started developed Metal legs for TORINO Series with goods result. And to be followed with successful development of Metal legs for BERLIN Series & MONTANA Series in 1995, and in 1996 we successfully developed Metal legs for OSLO Series.

And in 1994, we started manufacture Kitchen Sets in big quantity for apartments and houses followed by Bedroom Sets.

We started producing home furniture of TOP SANDER Series which resemble Victorian time furniture employing wrapping technique in 1995 which were first exported to Gulf States.

And in the past three years, we have developed 70mm & 85mm thick SERIES 700T TILE PARTITION SYSTEM & SERIES 850T TILE PARTITION SYSTEM respectively in completing the thickness of the partitions we are able to offer to small up to big companies’ needs. And these have given us flexibility in providing many kind of System Furniture and Cubicle Workstation based on the desire or the budget targeted by our domestic and overseas customers.

As we have strong engineering department with talented engineers graduated from college or university whom are always following the trend in furniture world , therefore when this is combined in their research and development works , many good products in wooden field and metal field could be achieved in short time frame. And this keep us always have, from time to time, chances to modify our own products and also to present new products frequently to all of our domestic and overseas friends.

And beginning 1995, our furniture products have been routinely exported overseas. And due to our stringent control over the quality of all of our office furniture, partitions and home furniture etc., our DINO brand, OLIVER brand office furniture and system furniture employing all kind of partition panels have now gained wide spread recognition of their quality from all or our routine overseas friends in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and Canada etc.

And on 7 th November 2007, our company has been certified with ISO 9001: 2000 certificate issued by UKAS Quality Management with certificate No.: 27963/A/0001/UK/En. This will prompt us to even boost our furniture products’ standard to attain higher quality
